Monday, September 16

8:00 – 8:45 am – Aqua Aerobics: Meet at the Sports Center for aqua aerobics, a cardiovascular workout that increases pulse and breathing rates while strengthening and toning muscles. Drop in is $25 per class, 3 classes $70, 5 classes $110, and 10 classes for $190. Open to the public; Corolla Light owners receive a 50% class discount. Call 252-207-8477 to register.

10:00 am - 11:00 am – Cardio Tennis Clinic: $20. Join us for this high energy group fitness clinic that combines tennis and cardio. Click here to register.

11:00 am - 12:00 pm – Adult Intermediate/Advanced Tennis Clinic: $20, Perfect for 3.5+ NTRP level. Improve your match play in this advanced level clinic. Click here to register.

10:00 am - 11:00 am – Adult Beginners Tennis Clinic: $20. Whether you’re new to tennis or trying to get back in the game, join us for this introductory clinic. Click here to register.

1:00 pm - 2:00 pm Intro to Pickleball: $25, Whether you’re new or looking to brush-up on your skills, join us for this introductory clinic. Click here to register.

6:00pm – Winged Horses of the Outer Banks: Join Riptide and the Corolla Wild Horse Fund at the Town of Duck Amphitheater for the Winged Horses of the Outer Banks mini-documentary premiere. Free and open to the public. Click here for more information.

September 20th – 22nd – OBX Jeep Invasion: This event will include a Fun Run, Vendor Bingo, Show & Shine, raffles, live bands, vendors, food trucks and lots of fun! So come down and hangout at the beach for a good cause and a little bit of Jeep fun! Click here for more information.

October 16, 1:00 – 3:00 pm – Book Signing: Meet Donna Campbell Smith, author of “An Independent Spirit: The Tale of Betsy Dowdy and Black Bess” at the Corolla Wild Horse Fund Museum and Gift Shop, 1130-E Corolla Village Rd., Corolla, NC.

October 26, OBX Brewtag: Admission to the event is FREE to the general public. A rather crafty selection of local and regional beer and food will be available for purchase that day. This family-friendly event will also feature plenty of activities for the kiddos! Click here for more information.

Friday, November 29, 11 am – 4 pm, 8th Annual Christmas Craft Village: Start your holiday gift shopping on the grounds of Whalehead in Historic Corolla Park. Enjoy arts and crafts, fine arts, handmade cosmetics, baked goods and other unique treasures from local artists and vendors. The 8th Annual Christmas Craft Village is a one-day outdoor show that also includes additional fun to help get into the holiday spirit. Take in the sights of Historic Corolla Park… Santa and Mrs. Claus will also be in attendance to hear Christmas wishes and provide an opportunity for photos. We will also have pony rides, a petting zoo and food vendors for those hungry for more than a hot beverage. Ring in the holiday season in Corolla!

Starting Friday, November 29, Whalehead’s Candlelight Christmas Tours: Step back in time to the 1920’s decor and customs taking place during Mr. and Mrs. Edward Collings Knight, Jr.’s time in Corolla. The Whalehead mansion is beautifully decorated in the tradition of the times with greenery, Christmas trees, music, luscious food, fruit, candy and nuts. This special tour will feature a live performance on the original one-of-a-kind Steinway piano – custom designed for Mrs. Knight – along with a few traditional Christmas carols. Tour participants will explore this magnificent mansion including the newly designed Starkey room exhibit. Guests will also enjoy a holiday treat at the conclusion of the tour. Fridays and Saturdays starting Friday, November 29 and ending Saturday, December 21. Admission is $20.00 per person and reservations are required. December 13th and 14th – The Polar Express: Please join us at the Outer Banks Center for Wildlife Education Auditorium for a Polar Express experience… The Academy Award-winning team of Tom Hanks and director Robert Zemeckis (Forrest Gump, Cast Away) reunite for The Polar Express, an inspiring adventure based on the beloved children’s book by Chris Van Allsburg. When a doubting young boy takes an extraordinary train ride to the North Pole, he embarks on a journey of self-discovery that shows him that the wonder of life never fades for those who believe. 2 showings – 3:00pm and 6:30pm, tickets required due to limited seating.

Corolla Christmas Village: Friday and Saturday Evenings, 5:00pm – 9:00pm, exact 2024 dates to be determined, Historic Corolla Village. The 3rd Annual Corolla Christmas Village brings lights, floral delights, and holiday sights. Historic Corolla Village is transformed into a wonderland that delivers the holiday season spirit. Take a stroll through the sparkling village, where Christmas joy fills the crisp evening air. Each weekend features food trucks, delectable beverages at The Kind Cup coffee shop, and unique shopping opportunities at various Corolla Village merchants. Perfect for the entire family, there is no admission fee for this self-guided event.
